5 L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powders Review, Shades, Swatches

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powders

Hi girls!! Recently L’Oreal Paris launched these really affordable compact powders which are just for rupees 399 rupees. Since the quantity of considerable amount they will last really long. This is why I liked the fact that this range can be tried by a lot of girls. This powder has several claims out of which that this has got SPF 34 PA+++ was quite commendable. In fact in one of my recent posts, I have tested the SPF 34 PA+++ of these L'Oreal Mat Magique pressed powders and I am quite satisfied with that. I am glad that a product which most of the girls use frequently has that much sun protection. So, in this post, I am going to do a detailed review on these L'Oreal Paris Compact powders. I have shades like N1 (Nude vanilla), N6 (Nude Honey), G1 (vanilla Ivory), G2 (Golden Ivory) and G7 (Golden Amber).

Experience with L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder

This pressed powder is packaged in a beautiful glistening pink and white packaging which is good at the price. The separate inner compartment for keeping the sponge is nice as while you use the sponge applicator, it can then get loaded with the oils and grease from the face hence keeping that separately is great from the hygiene aspect. This has a decently sized mirror as well that may be required while you are touching up.

I have 5 shades from this range of L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powders, so let me describe the shades first, then I will go ahead and let you know about the texture and other features.

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder N2 Nude Vanilla
This is the lightest shade out of the lot that will suit very fair skinned girls. This is light with slight yellowness to it.

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder N6 Nude Honey
This is a shade for medium skinned girls who are not very dark or very fair. The warmth in this is good for Indian skin tones.

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder G1 Vanilla Ivory
This shade will suit the girls who have got skin complexion which is between very fair to medium like me, who are not medium or wheatish but are fair generally.

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder G2 Golden Ivory
I find this shade to be similar as that of the G2, just slightly warmer than G 1, so again this will be suitable for girls who have got skin complexion between very fair to medium.

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder G7 Golden Amber
This is a color that can be used by duskier girls but if your skin color is even duskier that I don’t see this will work for you.

Texture and other features of L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder

The pressed powder is not very heavy rather has a light texture else with dry or heavy powders one can feel that it cake up faster. But with this I feel it is very fine and able to give a decent coverage. I mostly used this just over the BB cream and this was able to give good coverage. It won’t cake up at the end of the day but still i recommend, you should avoid layering the compacts throughout the day rather use blotting sheets to mattify the face.
I like that this controls the oils on my T zone for around 3 hours which is okay as most of the powders won’t do much for me beyond that time. So, the 12 hours oil free claim is not for me. But even the compacts which are for over thousand bucks won’t do that either so considering that I can’t complain.

One thing which I liked about these powders is the shade selection. Out of the 5 colors, I can use at least two since I have skin complexion that dwindles between medium to fair but what excites me is that they do not have any pink undertones to them. Secondly, they do have a shade called Golden Amber which will suit the dusky skinned girls. Else I have observed that most of the brands won’t even consider launching darker foundations and compacts which isn’t fair at all. So, here even if you have very fair to dusky skin then also you have got a shade out there for you.:)

The sponge applicator of these compact is like that of the ones that we use to apply foundations and I love such applicators. They will just press the powder smoothly into the pores for a seamless finish, I liked that. The overall packaging is quite sturdy so I can easily carry it in a small clutch even. Since for touch ups, a lipsticks and compact would be the most required products for most of the women.

Texture of the powder as I mentioned is fine and easy to spread on but isn’t to drying therefore, I think they won’t dry out the skin for those who already have dry skin. This is not a moisturizing powder but not chalky as well, so this is something in between which will cater to all the skin types.

I liked the overall feature for the price and as I said this is a worth trying product for 399 rupees.
Now coming to the pros and cons of these L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powders.

Pros of L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder

Price is very affordable and makes these really in budget.
Packaging is good and looks attractive.
The separate compartment to keep the sponge applicator is hygienic way to use the compact. i know some of you girls may not like this idea much.
The powder isn’t chalky or too dry rather has a fine easy to blend light formula.
This won’t settle in the pores rather blends seamlessly over the skin.
This controls oil for me for around 3 hours that also depends on how oily your skin is.
SPF 34 PA+++ is really good as for those who skip sunscreens most of the times as they can at least get good sun protection through this.
This gives decent coverage, even if I layer it over a BB cream.
These compact powders will work for all the skin types.
Doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.
Shade selection is good and suitable for majority of Indian skin complexions

Cons for L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder

They won’t control the oils for more than 3- 3.5 hours.
Other than that honestly, I don’t have any complaint from this powder, some of you with extremely dry skin may feel that this has accentuated the dry patches over the skin but then again as I said this is neither a moisturizing powder nor a chalky one but something that will work for many skin type decently.

Rating for L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powders: 4 out of 5

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powders have impressed me with their SPF 34PA++ in my first impression post. Moreover, the price, packaging and the texture of the powder is such that one can’t ask for anything at such an affordable and inexpensive product. The quantity given is good which will last long. The shades availability is wonderful for Indian skin complexions. Moreover, they do not have pink undertones rather are very warm and have yellow tone which will suit Indian complexions nicely. It may not control oils for 12 hours as per the claims but for me even 3 hours is fine. I will recommend that you should get these, I am sure you will like. Test the shade at the counter, if you are still confused about the appropriate shade.

  5. Hi Niesha, my mum perspires a lot even on her face. It's not so much of an oily mess, more of a watery kind. Do you think this product will suit her? I'm a little hesitant to buy it..
