Hi girls,

Sunscreens are very important no matter it is rain or shine. Sun damage can lead to premature skin aging and I am sure we don’t want that to happen. I was trying this sunscreen from TBC by Nature which is called sun block fair lotion with the SPF 35. I like using sunscreens over SPF 20 but the main criteria for me, while choosing the right sunscreen remains the same that they should not be greasy or make me sweat even if I am getting a sunscreen for other than the face.

Product claims: “The ubiquity of lanolin and botanical UV protectors in this sunblock fairness lotion spf 35+ gives a broad spectrum of UV protection, keeping your skin looking fresh and oil-free. It also helps to stimulate collagen synthesis, enhances the skin’s natural ability to fight with harmful radicals. The formulation also includes a boost of antioxidants to shield skin from environmental aggressors. It is gentle enough for sensitive skins, this product is water and sweat-resistant, oil-free, and dermatologist tested”.

Experience with this TBC by Nature Sun Block Fair Lotion SPF 35

This sunscreen is a lotion with the SPF 35 which also claims to give fairness. It comes in a very tall bottle with a pump. I like the bottle as it is convenient to carry while travelling and for everyday use, a smaller size of this product is available that too with a pump. This is what I like about the packaging.

Moving on to the other features, it has a subtle scent which isn’t overpowering but just very soothing and faint. The sunscreen has a cream color with thick consistency. Now, let me tell you why I liked this sunscreen. I want my body lotions to be light weight and moisturizing but when it comes to sunscreens, I want them to be less greasy and should not make me feel sticky when I sweat during the day when I am out. This sunscreen has a very good feature which impressed me. And that it that when I massage this on my skin within minutes, it will get absorbed without making me feel sticky, greasy oily or anything of that sought. Moreover, this leaves a slight brightening layer on the skin which makes the skin very slightly brighter. By brightening, I don’t mean the white cast the regular sunscreens give.

This sun lotion also claims that it is a fairness lotion, I don’t see that but as I see that it has given the very slight fairer looking skin, I should say that it does but just a little bit.

As this TBC fairness sun lotion isn’t greasy or sticky. I find it to be not so moisturizing. I mean, I can easily use this on my body and feel comfortable with no dryness. The very little moisturization that it has got that is enough to hydrate my normal body skin but for dry skin types, this sun lotion alone isn’t sufficient. Like my feet are dry so, when I used this only, I felt they were still dry therefore, for dry skin I would have to use a body lotion prior to this then go ahead with this TBC by Nature Sun Block Fair Lotion.

Absorbed easily

Adds a slight layer which makes skin look fairer but in very subtle manner

Doesn’t make skin look greasy

Isn’t heavy on the skin

No sweating and gross feeling due to the sunscreen of course.

Pomp at the top makes is hygienic and easy to use

Can be used on the face and body

Not so hydrating for dry skin

No whitening by slight skin brightness is seen.

I liked this sun lotion and why, I just told you in the review :). Price of this product is decent and this brand is available on flipkart if you want to try out. You can get the smaller pack for 155 rupees, I think. For normal skin it will acts as a body lotion plus sunscreen and for dry skin use a moisturiser before this lotion to get the benefits of sun protection.
