I will review the latest product from Maybelline which is their The Colossal Liner Black. Earlier I had posted about Maybelline Colossal kohl in Crushed Emerald which was a pretty colored kohl. I like Maybelline as a brand since it is affordable for most of the girls and throughout the year, they will come up with exciting new products.

I so wish that they should come up with contour kit, face primers, eye primers as well since girls have started using such products as well when it comes to makeup. Anyways, let’s focus on this liner here.

Experience with Maybelline The Colossal Liner

This liner is a felt tip eyeliner which is commonly known as pen eyeliner. It comes in a black plastic packaging that makes it look like a pen. The felt tip is very long and has a very sharp tip. This is the USP of this liner that the sharp tip allows to give a precise and thin line. I like such pointy tips as when I go for the winged eyeliner style or graphic liner style then such liners can make it convenient to draw the shape I like.

The pigmentation is jet black with very subtle glossiness but not like the extreme shiny finish that we have seen with their hyper glossy liquid eyeliner. The jet black rich pigmentation makes me swipe it just once and it shows up well. 

Once I am done lining my eyes, it takes around a minute to get completely dry which when touched will not transfer but here I have noticed one thing that the eyeliner is not as rub proof one. I mean we have seen eyeliners which will get super smudge resistant and will need an eye makeup remover to get rid of them.

This Maybelline The Colossal Liner acts like a liquid eyeliner I would say as it comes off with water when it is rubbed though stays there on the eyes throughout the day till the time the liner doesn’t come in contact with moisture like water, tears or sweat. Hence in short, it’s an eyeliner bearing all the properties like the liquid eyeliner but it dries pretty quickly then the liquid ones and the felt super sharp tip gives a full control over the precision and thickness of the lines drawn.

I liked this eyeliner as it does what an eyeliner is suppose to do and for the price it is good. As the formula is jet black it will not need re-swiping hence will last slightly longer.

Maybelline The Colossal Liner is a good pen style eyeliner that helps to draw precise lines and gives full control while you use it unlike the liquid eyeliners with brush. The price is decent for the quantity and considering the jet black formula and great pigmentation. It is not waterproof though is rub proof so care should be taken during summers when you sweat. All those of you looking for a pen eyeliner from a good brand then this liner can be the answer!
