Revlon
Colorstay Foundation for Natural Tan Review, Swatches
Hi
everyone!
How are
you all? I am going to review Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Oily/combination skin
in Natural Tan. This Revlon foundation is formulated for oily combination skin
and claims to give a light weight feeling with 24 hours wear time. I got this
color in natural tan since I have realized that with Revlon even if you’re a
medium to fair skinned person, the foundation which will match closely would be
the darker shades that Revlon makes. The same foundation is available in other
formulation which is for dry to normal skin. Earlier I used to swatch shades
like beige, sun beige, Ivory with Revlon and they used to be extremely light
for my skin. But this time even though I had ordered it online, I got the correct
shade which is natural tan.
Price: Revlon Colorstay Foundation is priced
at 875 Rupees for 30 ml in India.

The Revlon
Colorstay Foundation comes in a pump packing which I will definitely prefer
over the normal packaging any time, since this is extremely easy and hygienic
to use. The cap could have been a bit tighter as it comes off just like that.
Don’t know if that is with this one or with every bottle from this range. I got
this shade Natural Tan.

Natural tan is more of a color for wheatish skin tone.
I am between whitish to fair. Actually my jawline is wheatish and my cheeks and
forehead is fair, if that makes sense. So, for me the foundation was a close
match. Let me tell you one thing, hopefully some of you will relate to that.
Earlier, I used to pick foundations very light and when I used to apply them,
they would look ashy horribly on my jaw line, but it would just match perfectly
over the cheeks, and I use to panic not figuring out this simple thing that I
have a dual tone complexion. :D haha And all that happened because at the time
of choosing foundation, I have this thought that see, I am fair so I should
pick the lighter colors but wait what about the lower half of the face, that
poor thing used to look ashy always, until I realized, it was simple but making
mistakes with the foundations is very common so, now, I know what to do. :D C’mon
we all have done that.

Anyways,
moving on, this natural tan color as I mentioned is a color for medium or what
we call as wheatish skin color. But I noticed that this has slight pink
undertones to it which I absolutely hate, Yes, I do. I know that it is to
balance the yellow undertones, but I like our yellow undertones so now ways, I
am going to put a pinky toned foundation and neutralize that. But, thankfully
when I blend and layer over the skin that isn’t noticeable at all.
The foundation
is slightly on the thicker side and would be able to impart medium to high
coverage. In fact as it is not overtly thick it can also be used as to put a sheer
layer just to even out the skin a bit. I used that it worked well that way.
Blending is not too difficult with this Revlon Colorstay Foundation. It seeps
into the lines and gives a smoother looking skin though priming the face would be
better to even out the skin for pores and fine lines especially under the eyes which
also makes the concealers to stay a lot longer without getting crease badly.

As this Revlon
Colorstay Foundation says that it is light weight, yes, it is and it will not
give a matte looking finish but I could feel slight, very slight dewiness which
is good even for combination oily skin. This foundation also has SPF 15. I have
wore this foundation for 8 plus hours and it was there in its glory and I don’t
have any complaints except that when the weather is hot, it melts and my skin
get oily on the T zone again. It performs better when I have my NYX photo loving
primer before applying this foundation. For the summers and for winters, I would
just apply the primer over the T zone so that that should not get oily.
I would recommend
this for the oily to combination skinned girls. It is affordable and is quite
decent for our skin type. But would still suggest to go and check the color at
the counter.
Rating Revlon
Colorstay Foundation for Oily/combination skin Natural Tan: 3.75 out of 5 (-1
for slight heaviness on layering and slight dewy and loose cap else thumbs up)
Revlon
Colorstay Foundation for Oily/combination skin is ideal or daily wear for oily
to combination skin. It can be layered to get high coverage and cover flaws
decently. Even though it has very slight pink undertones but once done with
blending that is not visible at all. It blends well and feels light weight
though when layered again, this may feel a bit heavy especially in summers. It
is waterproof and sweat proof up to an extent that will not make it budge
easily at least. The price is affordable so is the availability.
