My Pimple Story and How I got rid of them

My Pimple Story and How I got rid of them
Hey Everyone
Recently, I shared my skin care routine with you and there I mentioned that I never had clear skin. My skin has always been pimple prone with over active sebaceous glands on my T Zone which kept my skin far from clear. I still remember, I had this bad acne attack all over my lower cheeks and jaw line. That was some kind of infection that got aggravated and would just not clear up.

My Pimple Story and How I got rid of them
This was around 2 years ago but now I have the situation under control as I can say, I have been there so, tried everything and now know what exactly works for me.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a teenager or an adult crossed your mid twenties. Pimples can bother anyone and what bothers more are the marks left behind by the pimples.

So, how exactly I cleared my acne. First of all, I increased by water intake, yeah that sounds familiar but this is good for great skin. I tried not to wear any foundation at all, just light compact when I had to go out. I use to start my skin care regimen with a medicated neem soap or neem face wash or even products with tea tree. I highly rely on neem products since neem is antibacterial and has this potential of clearing the bacterial infection. If you remember, I have already reviewed a couple of neem face washes and Garnier pure active neem face wash was the latest one to be reviewed, You can read the review here.

So, after the cleansing, I would use a light oil free moisturiser on the areas which were free from acne and pimples like my cheekbones, nose and forehead. Over the skin filled up with pimples, I would use over the counter drugs for acne like benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin etc. So, basically, the neem extracts would clear the infection and the topical gels would heal the pimples faster.

I did the exact same routine day and night. It took around 7-10 days for all the pimples to get healed completely and vanish. This was great since they were so many.  After they left me,  was still left with dark red and brown spots where the pimples were there which I got rid of by regular exfoliation, some homemade face packs and certain spot lightening skin creams.
It sounds simple here but when you have this bout of acne, it can totally drive you nuts, makes you self conscious and yes, the pain but with patience and proper skin care, I can say that it isn’t that difficult.

Now, being a beauty blogger, I have to try different skin care products which is why I can’t stick to a particular product but whenever I face pimple attack I will get back to my same old routine till the time the infection subsides.
By the way, you can read post on our blog, about how to start blogging in India, to pursue it as a career. Also if you're not sure which niche or topic to pick up then do check these best niche to blog about in India.

When I am asked or I see my brother or cousins going through the struggle with pimples, I will suggest them to use some good face wash with salicylic acid, neem, tea tree oil along with the topical medicinal gels to cure the pimples fast.

You can also apply apricot essential oil from a good brand to lighten the dark spots afterwards.

So, this was my acne/pimple story.  Hope it helped those of you who are still struggling with those little monsters sitting on your lovely face.
