Maybelline
Color show lipsticks Review and Swatches of Crushed Candy, Violet Delight and
Orange icon
Hi everyone!!
If you remember, I did the first impression post of these Maybelline Colorshow lipsticks some time ago and now, I will be doing a full on review, swatches and
fotds of these lipsticks. As you may know (if you have read the first
impression post). By the way, we had Maybelline colorshow nail paints,
Colorshow glitter mania, eyeliners and now we have the color show lipsticks, the recent launch from them.
I got these3 shades i.e.
Crushed Candy, Violet Delight and Orange icon. These lipsticks are very budget
friendly as they just for 299 bucks.

Brand says “Maybelline Color Show Lipstick is a fashionable intense
lipstick, which comes in chic to vivid shades. Maybelline Color Show Lipstick
is highly pigmented giving bold lips. "
It
stays for up to four to five hours.
The
creamy texture is not heavy on the lips.
It
does not smear or smudge.
It
does not settle in line.
Packaging is okay, could have been better but acceptable for that
price.

Maybelline Color show lipsticks Crushed Candy
Crushed Candy is a medium pink which is at the verge of being a neon
pink. It may wash out dusky skin tones slightly but for other skin tones like
fair to medium this should be a perfect color for summers, But why summers, you
can wear any color you wish, whenever you want. I would call this color, as an everyday
shade that can be sported for college, office, meetings etc. By the way, for
this, the color in the tube is the same that reflects on the lips, when I wear it.

Pigmentation is okay-ish, it would need 2-3 swipes for the color
to show up truly. The lipstick has a smooth gloss like texture and very hydrating formula
that keeps the lips moist. In short, it has a gloss like texture and finish.
Apart from that, it has minute shimmer particles that are negligible but yes,
they are there and play their part in making the color slightly lustrous. It
doesn’t have an opaque finish due to which, it may not be able to fully cover
pigmented lips.
Staying span of this lipstick is average and reapplication is needed after 2 and half
hours at the most, in my case.
Maybelline Color show lipsticks Orange icon
Orange Icon lipstick looks a bright and bold orange in the tube while on the
lips, it comes as a orangish red but that’s a plus point for me at least as I
like such color a lot. In fact, such colors look fantastic on medium to dusky
skin tones.

Just like the Crushed Candy, this too has a glossy feel and finish
to it, sans the shimmers particles. It hydrates the lips well and needs 2-3
swipes to get the color though, if worn as a single stroke, it appears as a
very soft natural color on the lips, which again makes a thumbs up for it.
Staying power is okay-ish, just like the previous one, so is the
pigmentation and other features of this lipcolor. But out of the three, it is my favourite since
orange goes really well with my complexion.
Maybelline Color show lipsticks Violet Delight
Violet Delight is a purple plum color which is better at the
pigmentation that the rest of the two and has a feather light feel once it’s on
the lips. This feature is same for all 3 of these Maybelline color show
lipsticks. Staying span is just the same, around 2 hours to 2 and half hours at
the most.
I am not a fan of purples or plums but that doesn’t make this color less pretty. It will surely catch the attention of purple lovers, if you're not a fan of purples, look the other way, or at the previous 2 colors.

Take: I liked this Maybelline
Colorshow lipsticks range. They are very affordable, available in loads of
different shades and have this light weight glossy finish that make them stand
out from the regular lipsticks. Their texture maks them suitable for daily
wear. They may be low on the pigmentation as you will need 2-4 strokes and the
staying span too isn’t great but still I like these for the reasons mentioned
earlier.
The shades r pretty bt way too glossy.. i liked the pink one the most ;)
