Revlon Colorburst Lacquer balm In Ingénue Review
Hi girls!
Yesterday, I reviewed Revlon's Matte balm in striking which was a hot red color and today the color I am going
to review is totally the opposite of that vibrant red, not only the color but
the texture and other parameters are different except for the minty fragrance. I am talking
about Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Ingenue.
Price: Revlon
Colorburst Lacquer Balms are priced at 800
rupees each in India and have been launched in 8 different shades such as Vivacious, Enticing, Ingénue, Whimsical, Flirtatious, Coy, Coquette and Tease

Just like the Matte balms,
Lacquer balms too have this chubby stick/lip crayon packaging. If you have
noticed, Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms
have shiny glossy body whereas the matte balms had matte finished outer case
that clearly says a lot about their respective texture. Barring the mint like
smell and some cooling sensation both the lip products are very different.
The lacquer balm has a very balmy, glossy texture that feels
very light more or less like a lip balm. As soon as you apply mild coolness
engulfs your lips which I personally like. It feels as if you’ve had a Polo
just now.

It glides well on the lips
and is very smooth to apply with no patchiness. Just the dewy lips.
The shade Ingénue is a sheer warm brown with
shimmer particles scattered loosely. The shimmer adds more dimension to its
already glossy finish. The formula is very moisturizing. I remember, the first
time I applied it, I haven’t even used a balm beforehand to deal with my dry
lips but after application this has taken care of that dryness.
If compared with Coy which is more like a dark cool
toned brown, ingénue would be perfect N*de shade for girls who like to sport subtle
dewy color with shine but nothing too obvious on the lips.

Out of the lot, Coy and
Ingénue are from the brown family while other 6 shades belong to the category
of Pink, Orange and Red broadly.
It stays on the lips for
around 4 plus hours and then the sheen starts to fade off and only the color is
left which starts of fade off too gradually. Unlike the matte balms they aren’t
that patchy or would bleed. It is not sticky but still would stay in the place.

I am not a fan of browns
as they don’t suit me. Well this is what I think; therefore, I mix it with some
other bright color since I really like the texture and finish because of which
I would really like to try some other shade like tease which is more my kind of
color! This color will look a tad different depending on your actual lip color.
