L’Oreal
Paris Rouge Caresse lipstick in Dating Coral Review and Swatches
Hi
all,
L’Oreal
Paris launched two lip products recently, a lipcolor that can be referred as a
gloss and a lipstick. Since I am not a gloss kind of a person, I wasn’t too
keen on buying the shine caresse lip color but its classy packaging made me
change my mind. After using that, naturally my expectations for the lipsticks
which were already high soared even higher. But guess what! For the first time
I liked the lip gloss more than the lipstick. Why’s that? Read this review of
L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse lipstick in Dating Coral below to know why I felt
that.

Price:
L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse lipsticks are priced at 499 rupees for 2.5 grams and have been launched
in 10 shades. They are Dating Coral, Expresso, Sweet Berry, Hypnotic Red, Mauve
Cherie, Impulsive fuchsia, Cheeky magenta, Rock n Mauve, Rose Mademoiselle,
Aphrodite Scarlet
Claims:
Don’t just stroke your lips, caresse them.
A flutter of kissably soft light weight feeling colour, its delicate
texture glides onto lips creating a veil of color with luminous shine.
Packaging:
L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse lipsticks are packaged in a transparent body bearing
slight rose gold hues with the shade name written on the bottom of the tube and
the top part showing the shade with metallic finish. The lipstick click shuts
and its sturdy cap is tight enough. In short, packaging is decent but nothing
like the classy packaging of L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse lip colors or their
Color Riche lipsticks. It exudes mild fragrance and the bullet looks more like
a lip balm tube.

Dating
coral is a sheer peachy color with very fine micro shimmer. Dating Coral looks
more like “my lips but better” since the actual color of my lips is somewhat similar
as that of this lipstick’s shade which makes the color gel into the original
lip color of my lips thus it shows up only as if I have a colored lip balm on
my lips.
Pigmentation
is average and it requires at least three swipes to get a decent color. Its
texture is sheer and very creamy or more like balms that hydrate the lips and
feel light but on the downside, if your
lips are flaky it is not going to look flattering. Therefore, make sure that
you scrub and take off the flakes beforehand.
Due
to its sheer texture, the lipstick stays around 2-3 hours on me and gets wiped
off after a small light meal. Till the time it stays on my lips, it hydrates
them and even after getting wiped off, I feel that the lips are soft. It shows
its balm like quality!!

I
find its sheer texture and light formula good for everyday use but since the
shade Dating Coral doesn’t show much on my already pigmented lips, my liking
towards this product isn’t much. Maybe would have liked it more if I would have
chosen some other color or if it would have been a tad more pigmented as I find
it too sheer for a lipstick. Not just the pigmentation even the quantity is
lesser.

Nevertheless, L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse lipsticks can be suitable for those who want something hydrating and low on color with
slight glossy finish for everyday use, this can be a good to consider option.
