Review of Oriflame tender care protecting balm

Oriflame tender care protecting lip balm review

Hello all!!
Winters have already knocked the doors or may be rang the bell!! The air feels breezy and cool making the skin, heels, lips, cuticle etc dry.
I will do a review on this multipurpose product from Oriflame named as Tender care balm.
Look at that tub which stand hardly 2 inches tall! It’s too cute and just like a cute toy!

Priced at 229 rupees this cutesy pot contains 13 g of the balm and the ingredients list as follows:

Petrolatum, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Paraffinum Liquidum, Cera Alba, Paraffin, Acetylated Lanolin, Cetyl Alcohol, Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glyceryl Caprylate

It says that it’s an all-round cream to be gently applied to any area of the skin that is dry, rough or sore. Really?? Let's test!
Oriflame tender care protecting balm
I was smitten by its extremely cute packaging and the glossy shiny body. Looks Nice!! The actual product is a deep yellow colored balm which resembles like of the original petroleum jelly not the colorless one.
Not only this, in the texture as well, it is very similar to that of Vaseline with the same consistency except for the stickiness as this protecting balm is less sticky and contains petroleum and beeswax!

I got this variant/ flavor in vanilla, I think But it doesn’t smell like that or in fact it doesn’t have any smell or taste but the other variants like chocolate and cherry smells like their names. I am okay even if it doesn't smells like that! Doesn't matter here!

Now, I really wanted to see what it can do and being a multi purpose product, how many purpose it can solve for me!
I have dry lips and I don’t know how many times I have mentioned this. :D which is why I have to have lip balms everywhere like one in my bag, clutch, in other bag, drawer, bed side etc etc :D So, this one’s the latest addition. Other balms might be jealous but it's okay!!

My first brush up with this was on lips of course! And I should happily say that, yes, It has helped them not to be dry anymore and the dryness was gone!! Where? No idea! It hydreates and moisturizes the lips well and keeps them soft for around 4 hours, then you may need to reapply. Best time to use this is at night! As a lip balm, thumbs up from me! I am currently using it as soon as I come out of the shower.

Target 2, my dry cuticles! I used this balm and massaged a little bit of this on my cuticles at night so that I wake up with decent looking hand, nails. It did awesome job.

It says that t can be used for any dry part like elbows feet etc but it is such a teeny meeny pot that it will not last long! Hence, I spared it and only use it for my knuckles, cuticles and lips. That’s it!!
The colorful thing is a very pretty bracelet, I got from bornprettystore. I was just thinking I have a lot of pictures which I have not posted. So, from now onwards I will post one picture which i have not posted anywhere yet! Now, have a look at the bracelet and the nails, I know I am flaunting bold Gold a lot but its such a great color that I cant be stopped.:P Over to the picture now!

colorful nylon cord bracelet
Overall, I am happy with it, whatever, I wanted it to do for me, it fared well!

Pros of Oriflame tender care protecting lip balm
  • Affordable
  • Hydrates dry ares and I have tried it for lips, knuckes and cuticles
  • A little bit of this can also be used to tame down your unruly eyebrows!! I think!
  • Ingredients are mentioned, if you rally want to know.
  • Beeswax is one of major ingredient that gives it capability to nourish and make dry areas supple.
  • Cute packaging which is tempting me to try the other variants.
  • Has no significant smell or taste.

Cons of Oriflame tender care protecting lip balm
  • Again!! Availability of Oriflame products is difficult as you need to search for a representative which I have not been able to do yet! I got it from Beautykafe or you can also try Ebay.in, if you really want to try it out!
  • You may not be able to use it on your elbows, feet etc as this pot is really small and will get finish soon!
Rating- 4 out of 5

Final Words- Oriflame tender care protecting balm is aptly said as the multipurpose prodyct which has healed ny dry lips, cuticles and made my knuckles soft apart from that it’s packaing and price makes it a thumbs up product from me and you may try if you can get hold of an oriflame representative.  Else go for the normal Vaseline that would also serve the purpose but can be a bit sticky!!
