Blue with green eye makeup tutorial

Blue with green eye makeup tutorial

Hello everyone!!
Happy weekend and Navratri!!
I will share an eye makeup tutorial today! :D I have not shared any eotds for the past 2-3 weeks so here I am with an eye makeup for you. Reason was my brows which were not in shape as they were growing since I want to switch back to my old shape.

For this look, I have used two bright and cool colors and what can be cooler than green and blues. They make a great combination!!
Apart from the colors I will show you this technique that is very easy to do. I think most of the times we wear only subtle eye makeup with only one or at most two shadows. Right? It’s just some occasion where we wish to sport bold colors or heavy smokey eye looks.  Well this is what I think and I guess majority of us do!!
Alright! Here are the steps I followed:
Step 1- I primed my eyes and applied some concealer to hide the pigmentation as I will be using a bright shade which I want to show it’s true color! I have also use some loose powder under the eyes because…. Read step no 2.
Step- 2 As I have used a bright blue shadow which was pearly in texture and you can see some shimmers on my under eye area.

Step 3- I took an angled medium sized brush and just dusted off the fall outs. If you will see the tutorial picture, I have applied the same shade under the lower lashline and dipped my blending brush in black very lightly and just swiped it once just to add a subtle dimension, you can see there is a faint shadow/darkness over the crease. If you have deep seated eyes there is no need to do that.
Step 4- I missed one step here but you can see, I have used a lime green pearly shadow on the inner half of the lid and over the blue one. Just a tip here. When I use a brush to apply a color over the other, it kind of erodes the underlying color may be due to the bristles of the brush and also the second color is not seen with full intensity so, I would like to suggest you to try applying such a second color with your finger. Color would be intense and no patches. I also applied eyeliner in this step only..
Step 5- I used the same lime green eye shadow on the inner corner and used a matte white shadow on the brow bone to create a gradient for the blue.
Step 6-  I used my regular mascara and I am done.

Tip and technique-Now, the basic purpose of this look was this simple technique and method which is to just use any color you wish on the lid and then on the inner corner use a second color that can be your lighter shade over the first color. For eg. If you are wearing a red dress with gold detailing you can use a deep reddish brown an the entire lid or any similar looking color that you wish! and a gold shade just for the touch on the inner lid and inner corner.

It’s extremely simple and you don’t have to blend anything as the second color you put needs not to be blending just a light tapping with your finger is enough to blend it!!

Hope you like the look and the easy technique.
Enjoy your weekends!!
