Basicare complexion Massage Cleansing Brush Review and photos

Basicare complexion Massage Cleansing Brush
Hi Friends/Followers/Readers :D

Sorry for not posting yesterday as It was a busy day and not so happy day.  Anyways, I will this Basicare Complexion massage Cleansing Brush Today. You may have seen this in my Goodlife haul along with the Enliven conditioner nail polish remover
Now here’s a small story, I have been wanting to use this brush for ever or rather I should say even before I started blogging that means more than an year ago, but just like few things that we want to try but we every time we will place an order we tend to forget completely about that and think next time I will definitely but that next time never comes in the near future.

Reason I wanted to try this, because my skin is combination with oily T- Zone and normal cheeks.  And my nose that is the problem area in my face gets oily very soon and also needs frequent exfoliation. So, I thought it would be good if I exfoliate with a soft brush and some cleanser rather than scrubbing the area daily.

Price: This Basicare complexion Massage Cleansing Brush comes at 190 INR and I have seen it at the time a year ago when it was only 145 INR. It isn’t available on many sites as well.

This brush was the only reason for my shopping with goodlife as it wasn’t available elsewhere online. I was really happy the day I got it and as usual before even opening the pack I took pictures so that I could put them for review.

Now, while taking pictures I realized that the Brush is made up of good quality wood and looks great with a rubber grip in the middle with a hole at the end through which a cord passes and tied in a loop so as to store it in the bathroom in an upside down position, once you are done with it so that it can dry. The brush stands around 6 inches tall with a 2 inches head in diameter.

I noticed that it says that the bristles are natural bristles but that’s not the case. It has plastic bristles along with the pale natural bristles. The plastic ones are like that we find in our tooth brushes and even same in the diameter too. They are transparent so they are not visible. They shed as well not badly but one or two here and there. Did you see that bristle in the picture above?

While I was using this I took some cleanser on it and tried to gently move it in circles to exfoliate but to my disappointment, it wasn’t good at all. It felt really abrasive and rough on the face. My face after using this was like burning. I know that was due to the plastic hard bristles in it.

I was wondering what it would have done if used by someone who had sensitive skin. Gosh! That was such a bad experience. :/
I think it will exfoliate to the extent that for the rest of the month you won’t touch anything else.  It’s such a bad product! :/
The purpose for which I bought it remains unsolved; instead of this I should have used a washcloth daily for gentle exfoliation.
For that price it’s a dud!! I really don’t like it. It’s one of those products that looks great and promising and has great packaging with excellent overall appearance but when it comes to performing they prove to be mere flash in the pan.
Now, since I got it may be I will use it for my hands and feet during my DIY manicure and Pedicure sessions but never on the face.
One thing I would like to say here that when it’s kept in warm water for sometime then the bristles soften and it isn’t that harsh. But still I will not recommend it.

Pros of Basicare complexion Massage Cleansing Brush:
  • Looks really good
  • Wooden handle with rubber grip makes it easier to work with.
  • Looped cord helps in drying it.
Cons Basicare complexion Massage Cleansing Brush:
  • Availability is limited.
  • Expensive for a face brush
  • Bristles are a mixture of plastic and natural ones.
  • Plastic bristles make it stiff and harsh on the skin
  • Not at all for sensitive skin, and other skin types too.
  • Can be used on the body but that won’t be the reason anyone’s going to purchase it.
  • Bristles do shed
  • Very harsh on the face and gives burning feel

Rating: 1.5 out of 5

My take: I will not recommend it for the face. Period!

  9. I'm sorry to hear that this was such a disappointment :(
I find that a really great and gentle face brush is the one Shiseido has. It is expensive, but it is so gentle and it works really lovely, and it lasts forever. The bristles in it are synthetic, but sooooo gentle!!!!

  20. I haven't used anything like that on my face. It's sad it wasn't a good product.
It is funny, but you know what I would like to use? My dad has a brush for his shaving foam and I have heard it is very good for the skin and that's why men have nice skin!
I may buy one for me to use it with a face scrub!

    1. No it's not dear. It was a sheer waste of money and i don't want anyone to waste their money on this product.
I had the same thing in my mind that the bristles would be delicate like shaving brush so that it could be used daily with a cleanser. but sadly it was not.

  21. I am sorry it didn't work out :( and at that price, it surely would pinch. There is this Faces face cleanser, have heard the same bad reviews on that too. Wonder don't these brands even check if the bristles prick at the back of the hand or the cheeks?

  26. This Just Shows How Much Professional a Company Is!

The Bristles Of The Brush Are Such Basic Thing.. They Didn't Even Care To Check It on Their Hands!

    1. They have mixed the plastic toothbrush like bristles inside the natural ones. They should have at least tested it to check it works or not.
