3 Easy Hair masks for dry frizzy hair

3 Easy Hair masks for dry frizzy hair

Hi all!!

Frizzy hair can be really annoying especially when you spend a lot of time styling your hair Moreover, hot and humid climate just adds on to that. In winters you may experience static induced frizz which is different as that of summer’s.
There are so many shampoos and conditioners that claim to control frizz.
However, you can get the same benefits with some homemade natural hair masks and packs. They can help taming down your mane and also give them nourishment and shine as an added bonus.
I have tried 2 of them and will be trying rest soon. Here they are:

Egg and olive oil: Take one egg and which it properly then add 2-3 teaspoonful of olive oil and mix it well. Apply it on the hair making sure that you coat each and every hair strand.  Like to tie my hair upwards in a knot so that is isn’t messy and then allow it to be there for 30 minutes. Bear the smell of eggs as at last it would be worth it.:D
Rinse off after half an hour and then proceed with the shampoo and conditioner. Egg proteins help in nourishing the hair strand and also make them shiny. Olive oil deeply conditions and thereby reducing frizz and taming your locks.

Avocado and Milk: Take an avocado and remove the nut. Mash it properly so as to make a paste with milk. You will get a pulpy looking mixture out of the two. Then, use this mixture as a hair mask. Leave this hair mask for about 30 minutes and then rinse with a mild shampoo and condition. This hair pack is good for those who cannot stand the smell of eggs. It works equally well as the egg pack. Try it and see yourself. (I tried it long ago).

Banana and Honey hair pack: Banana is a wonderful fruit works great whether you apply it on the face or use it for your hair. You can easily make a banana hair mask by mashing a banana, you put it in the mixer to get a pulp which is easier to spread all over the hair. In that banana pulp add 2 teaspoonful of honey and one teaspoonful of olive oil or coconut oil. Keep it for at least 20 minutes. And then rinse off and shampoo condition like you would normally do. I tried it last week and it does give good results though taking off can be a task. Will be making a detailed post soon!
If you have very curly frizzy hair then you may have to repeat and use the hair masks regularly to sustain the effects.

Hair masks are easy and simple method that can be done one a week and greatly helps in improving the overall quality of your hair or repairing any damage that had been due to climate, sun or styling.

  10. These are great packs. I don't know where to get avocados in India but I had already kept the second the mask in my wishlist for using after Henna :), though haven't tried yet. Will be trying it in the near future. But you know the second mask will lighten hair color over regular use.
