A jet black liquid liner would be what I call as a must have product even if you are a minimal makeup lover. What do you say??

So, today, I am here to review Maybelline Hyper glossy Liquid eyeliner, which was recently launched. Earlier I use to love liquid liner for their intense jet black color and easy application without tugging or pulling. Then I got fascinated by the colored eye pencils which completely made me forget about the liquid liners. Hence, recently when Maybelline launched this liquid eyeliner I was eager to try it as soon as possible as I didn't have any liquid liners left worth using.

Price- Maybelline hyperglossy Liquid eyeliner is priced at 225 INR for 2.5 ml. 

Key ingredients- Aqua, Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer, Dipropylene Glycol, Denaturated Alcohol, Steareth-20, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Laureth-21, Caprylyl, Glycol, Xanthum Gum, Tocopherol

I am using liquid eye liner after a very long time and was thinking that I may not be able to apply it properly after so many months due to lack of practice.:/
Moreover, these gel liners have spoilt me. Yesss. Maybelline Swirl gel I am talking about you!!! Now let me concentrate on this little baby here!

When I first saw this I was like it is so small, it will hardly last for a month if used daily. Since the quantity provided is only 2.5 ml. I have not seen an eye liner so small. The bottle is only an inch tall, with a long and slender top or handle.

What I really liked was its brush which is very fine and pretty long which favors drawing thin and precise lines easily. Superb, It is !!!
Once, I finished using it!!, I realized that it has a very quick drying formula and it dries within 10 seconds. That means no waiting or fanning your eyes like the other liquid liners.

It justifies its name Hyper glossy as it has a glossy finish which makes me love it even more. The liner on your eyes actually looks glossy as if you have applied it just now. Great!! you can check the pictures to see its glossy finish.

A little quantity will go for a long way. Texture is superb and it has certain gel eyeliner like properties I guess and pigmentation is brilliant. One stroke would be sufficient to deliver rich and pigmented black color.

Staying power is good 7-8 hours without getting fade, I applied it around mid day and it was there till 8 o’ clock, then I took it off so cannot say whether it stays on for more than 8 hours or not. But that’s perfectly fine for me as I do not wear makeup for too long. 7 to 8 hours is the maximum time for me, to roam around with makeup and it has survived very well for that time.  This is all I want from the products which I can’t reapply or retouch.

It is indeed smudge proof since, the hand swatch I have made, I rubbed it really hard or rather I should say that vigorously, but it was till there without getting rubbed off though the glossy finish was no longer there. It is water proof to certain extent.

However, on my eyes, I noticed that after 6-7 hours , when I rubbed my eyes accidentally it peeled off from the inner corner slightly.

Let’s sum up the pros and cons of this liner quickly.

Pros

• Availability, no isuues.
• Nice packaging and easy to slip inside the clutch too.
• Pigmentation is superb.
• Good brush that allows drawing thin and precise lines.
• Long and slender brush handle helps in steady and calm hand movement.
• Dries up within 9- 10 seconds.
• Smudge and rub proof with good staying power.
• Water proof to some extent.
• Rich and glossy color, that justifies the name given to it.

Cons

• Quantity can be a little less.
• Might peel some times when you rub your eyes accidentally

My take- Amazing pigmentation and quick dry formula with an awesome brush makes it a must try, if you like liquid eyeliners and are not bothered about its quantity.
