L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Burning Black |
Price- 450 INR for 4 gm
Company says-
L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eye shadow - Burning Black 013, Make a lasting
impression without batting an eye. Its shimmery purple color with small specks
of lavender glitter, smooth, creamy and pigmented. Infallible Eye shadows
contain ultra concentrated color pigments, for an intense color finish and up
to 24 hour long-lasting hold.
My Experience- When the SA swatched it for me I immediately bought it without even knowing what shade is it!! I thought I will observe it's beauty, once I reach home. But then I lost it so while ordering online it was like a tiring job, the colors that were being launched here, I could not related that pretty shade with any of the colors shown online or in reviews.. later after a lot of checking and browsing I saw the shade is called Burning Black.. Yup. It is! I was like, what?? they named it burning black!!
Now, you can see yourself, if you have already have this or seen in the store.
This color is called burning black but way too deep purple-ish violet color with lavender colored glitters, well you can have a look at the swatches to see what you think about the color? though It's gorgeously beautiful !! no doubts.:D
It has a nice packaging with a transparent base to show off the
color inside and a stopper like thing to keep the pigment pressed and prevents
fallout. Packaging is of plastic so, no worries even if you drop it accidentally with
the lid closed. of course and can be easily carried in your makeup bag :D
Now, as you can see in the pictures that it is very pigmented and also proved to have a good staying power. I have used it once and it was surprisingly good even without the primers but does fall out sometimes. I find it decent to blend properly!
So, while you are wearing this for say a maximum of 7-8 hours, even if the shimmer/glitters wear off the dark violet black color would be still there.
It's a powder pigment type of shadow but when you use it glides more like a cream shadow, due to which I was able to use it as an eyeliner.

It still is an eyeshadow that will fall into the category of pressed pigments so, fall out would be there, however, due to its creamy powdery formula fall outs are comparatively lesser that the regular eyeshadows.
I want to try the chocolate one now. but wait did I mention that the price could have been a little less. I mean 450 INR is a little more for a single shadow, at least to me!
In the pictures below, I have used it like an eyeliner drawn in
cat/winged to show the color however, it is not made for that, since when you
open your eyes it gets smudged.

Top- as an eyeliner Bottom - as an eyeshadow |
- Easily available online, counters and stores.
- Texture is very good.
- I find it an intermediate between powder and cream which makes it easy to blend.
- Pigmentation is excellent.
- Stopper at the top of this pressed pigment keeps it in place
- Packaging is good and travel friendly.
- Plastic body ensures no breakage while dropping
- It has good staying power
- When used for long hours the shimmers erode but the base color still stays.
Cons
- Price
- fall outs
Rating- 3.75 out of 5
My Take- Consider buying/ trying this if you love eye makeup or love any of the shades from this range and won't mind shelling out that much on a single eye shadow. Product wise, it is pigmented with a great staying power, soft bendable texture and of course its beautiful color!
thank you so much for those kind words sweety.

DeleteWow, looks very intense, I like it, just perfect for smokey eyes! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you dear, indeed it can be very apt in smoky look .:)
DeleteAnother awesome shade choice. Loved the way you have neatly put it as an eyeliner and if you had not clarified, I would have actually thought it can be used that way too :) Hmmm first time paid attention to your filled eyebrows. So pretty! Did you use the same eyebrow kit u recently purchased? Hey Niesha, please do a tutorial on eyebrow filling, if possible.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gagan, I was just trying to apply it that way as the color is very good but then i realize that using it as an eyeliner will not be great as it smudges.:)
DeleteI have done an eyebrow tutorial earlier but i will do one more soon.:)
I have natural thick eyebrows but when you take close ups it magnifies en a minor gap, so filling in can be a good option.:)
Love this colour...ok, im going and buying it tomorrow! Why have they named this black i wonder coz it does look like a very dark purple.
ReplyDeleteI agree Dollie, even i was thinking, it would be some grey sought of color but when SA swatched it for me, it was love at first sight.:) I love this color, a very deep purple.:)
