Hello all!!

I actually wanted to get it long time back since it was launched but every time keep on forgetting to purchase it but any ways lets gear up for the review of this absolute beauty. I love it a lot!!! Not only this, they are the best gel eyeliners in India so far when it comes to affordability and quality!

My Experience-  This Maybelline swirl gel eyeliner comes in a small glass pot with a metal lid on top. It comes with a complimentary gel eyeliner brush with which you can apply it properly and the brush is designed in a way that even thin precise line can be made with out much hassle !!
To start with when I opened it, I just couldn't stop staring at beauty of the black and silver swirls. It is delightfully beautiful to look at but Of course until the time you haven't poke in the brush into it.:D

As it's name suggests, It has a gel formula that glides on the lids like butter and without pulling or tugging at all. Texture is very light and something like that doesn't feel heavy on the eyes.
Inside the pot, there are two colors i.e. a black and shimmer silvery shade, which gives you an option to use them on their own or get an intermediate color by mixing both them though mixing should be done well else that can look patchy and streaky.
The black shade is creamy and has a glossy finish. I must admit right now that I have become a fan of this black gel liner as it is so very pigmented.. Insanely pigmented.:D
It glides smoothly and effortlessly with no tugging or pulling. what else I could ask for?
Earlier I was thinking that the pot is so small,it will be finishes soon but then a little of this gel thing, is adequate to draw a thick bold line. You will be thinking, So, what.. there are so many liners with similar rich jet black color.. No.my friends, it's only pigmented but when it comes to staying power it has all the potential that it has proved while it was under my scanner. I still remember the swatch that I made on my arm, which had clearly told me it won't budge. No matter, how hard I rubbed, used soap and water but it was there in all it's glory mocking at me.which I won't mind.:D
You can see the pictures and tiny droplet still on the arm.
The silver shade is not that pigmented though the application is smooth but little uneven or streaky.
So, here I would like to suggest that those you who doesn't like this silver shade may purchase this products in black only.. no swirls as that's what I will be doing once it gets finished.

You can take it off by using an eye makeup remover.
and this is how it looks on the eyes.

I have used it a couple of times now and every time I use it I love it even more. It's worth that.:D
The only problem I can see here is that once I would have used considerable amount of black, then the silver will mix with the rest of black and making it a mess and also there would be matte black left as some silver will stick come even if you don't need. For this As I said, I will buy the black only!
Honestly, I picked up this swirl one just for the sake of it's beauty but I don't see myself  using the silver more. but that was my decision even though I could have bought without the swirl. .:)

Pros
  • Easily available online and Maybelline counters.
  • Price is okay for the quantity given as a little of this is adequate.
  • Even though it is a glass pot but that's strong enough not to break easily and can be carried in the makeup pouches.
  • Packaging is nice and comes with a complimentary brush.
  • Brush doesn't shed and is very uniquely designed to get precise and fine lines.
  • Pigmentation is excellent and in a single swipe you can get the intense jet black color.
  • Ingredients are mentioned on the outer packaging.
  • It's the swirl gel variant hence comes with two colors: black and silver that you may mix to create and intermediate.
  • It has superb staying power and is rub proof, smudge proof and water proof.
Cons
  • Silver shade is streaky and uneven when used.
  • silver may end up messing the pot..
Rating- 4.5 out of 5 (get this here)
My take- I will highly suggest this to all the people who are looking for an affordable gel liner with excellent pigmentation, staying power and accompanied with an easy to use eyeliner brush. It's a must have. You also have the option to choose the only black or brown if not the swirl.

  14. This is so intense black and I was reading reviews for this brand just last night and today saw your post :) I have read this stings on the waterline. This looks lovely on you as eyeliner. How good is the brush that came along?

    1. It is very intense and it does not sting on the waterline as i have done it yesterday but can't recommend it!! Brush is good and gives the smoother and precise application!
