7 Elle 18 Color Boost Lipsticks Review and Swatches

Hi girls!!
Recently Elle 18 launched their Elle 18 color boost lipsticks which have extra pop of colors and 10 different shades to choose from. The shades range from Reds, pinks, oranges and nudes. I posted about these lipsticks on my Instagram and today I will review and swatch them. I think Elle 18 products are really good for starter and beginners who would like to build their makeup kits while being in budget may be its their foundation, compacts and the eyeliner.

Okay so here I have 7 of these Elle 18 color boost lipsticks which I will review today.
Price: Elle 18 color boost lipsticks are priced for 150 rupees each.

These are launched in 10 shades and I have got 7 of them, I don’t have the shade no 2, 3, and 4 and I am sure those would be nudes as these shades are quite colored. As a common characteristic all of these are very hydrating. Not extremely pigmented but you will have to swipe them 2 - 3 times to get the exact color in the tube. In the earlier versions of Elle 18 lipsticks, there was this cocoa butter center while in these Elle 18 color boost lipsticks there is  colored center and they do smell like vanilla and caramel.

So, here we go with the reviews.
Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Miss Pink 01
Miss Pink is a mauvy pink which will wash out the dusky skin tones but will look good as a wash of color for daily use on fair to medium skinned girls.
Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Coral Nude 05
This is a neutral color which will only suit the fair skinned ones as this has a very beige like color which will wash out medium to dusky skin. It looks quite warm in the pictures though. I wore it and it looked okayish but not my type. One thing is great about this color. I find it extremely moisturizing.

Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Blonde Pink 06
Blonde Pink is a very daily wearble pink with warm tones. I liked it as when I applied, it looks as if I am wearing colored balm since it looked so natural on my lips.  I actually wore all of them but the pictures of the first five I lost them, while transferring :/

Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Hollywood Pink 07
Hollywood pink looks a lot like the blonde pink but slightly darker and warmer it is also a great color that one can use every day. I like the moisturization and balmy effect of these lipsticks. This too will suit everyone. Very universal color.

Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Red passion 08
Here comes my favorite, Yes, I do admit time and again that I am a fan of red lipsticks and this is a such a cheerful orange based red. It instantly brightens my complexion and the good thing is that it will suits all the skin tones. That is due to the yellow undertones in this lipstick which makes it go against with our Indian skin tones beautifully.

Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Hyper Orange 09
Hyper orange is not a true orange which is flaring and bright rather it is a muted peachy orange that is like a runway shade that was seen this spring/summer. I like this too though darker skin tones can skip this as it slightly washes out.

Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Superlicious Red 10
Superlicious Red is  more like a muted brick like red which  can be a go to color for everyday for someone who likes to brighten the face without looking too bold with the lip colors.

So, that was it from the shades now let me tell you some more generic features about these. lipsticks. They are cost effective for 150 rupees. They will last for around 3-4 hours on me. When I eat or drink then they tend to wipe off but give great moisturization till the time they are there.
Except for the color they all have the same features so, you can pick any color you like.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 (Staying span is okay-ish that may be due to their very creamy nature which makes them wipe off sooner)

Do I recommend? Yes, I do. They are worth for 150 bucks. Good for girls on budget :)
PR Sample: My views are unbiased as always!!

  2. Those are some super wearable shades! I love seeing smaller brands like these! I do think that it would be good if they had a dark red and a more deep hot pink but otherwise I can see how the majority of the shades would be easy for beginners especially like you said!
