L’Oreal Paris Nµde Magic Foundation Sun Beige Review, Swatches, FOTDs

Hi everyone!
Recently L’Oreal Paris introduced their Nµde Magic foundations claiming that the foundation gives a bare skin like feel and finish. The claim was more than enough for me get hold of these, as I mostly avoid heavy coverage cakey foundations. Today, I will review L’Oreal Paris Nµde Magic Foundation in the shade Sun Beige (328). Nµde Magic Foundations are available in 6 different shades like 316 (Nµde Beige), 318 (Natural Buff), 320 (Natural beige), 328 (Sun Beige), 330 (Classic tan) and 332 (Soft Sable). I am positive that these shades will cater to majority of the Indian skin tones i.e. from fair to dusky complexions, which is an important aspect to be seen when getting a foundation.

Price: It is for 899 rupees in India.

All the detail and the list of the ingredients are mentioned on the back side for which you will have to remove the outer label.

Starting with the packaging. It’s made up of glass and is a perfect rectangle that feels like a bar or a paper weight but I somehow like it!! The bottle has a narrow opening with a purplish blue cap which also bears the shade name and number. Mine is Sun beige 328.

Sun Beige 328 is a shade darker than my skin color but still I can wear it as slightly darker foundation will not look that obvious the way lighter shades can do. This shade Sun beige will go with medium Indian complexions very well which we also commonly refer to as wheatish. The shades in these Nµde magic foundations that L’Oreal Paris has launched in India are either yellow based or neutral so no rosey pink hues which I personally avoid in foundations. My jaw line is a shade darker than the rest of my face, hence when I use it over there, the foundation will just vanish and till now, this is the first foundation that matched my jaw line skin tone to perfection as if nothing has been used.

These foundations have a very runny consistency. This particular feature can have both pros and cons. The annoying thing can be you have to be extra careful while slanting or inverting this foundation’s bottle else a lot of product will come out and run across. I wish these L’Oreal Paris Nµde Magic Foundations should have a pump which should have made it a lot easier to use, just like the L’Oreal Paris infallible foundations. Now, the good thing is that this consistency and the texture makes it an amazing product when it comes to blending. In short, you have to be a bit extra careful while taking it out but at the same time that consistency plays its own role in making it very easy to blend especially when I in running late or in a rush.

It has no detectable fragrance and has a very smooth light weight formula which when applied transforms into satiny powder. Unlike some foundations that will take ages to blend, this Nµde Magic Foundation is easier to blend even better than the BB creams.  It says that with this foundation there is no need to use the sponges, brushes etc which is correct as just like the light moisturising creams it spreads nicely, evenly. When brushes or the sponges are used, there will be unnecessary wastage of the product. Hence it’s better to avoid the tools.

L’Oreal Paris Nµde Magic Foundation gives a medium to sheer coverage and in spite of it bearing a runny consistency, little bit is enough for the entire face. Even if it layered gain, it won’t feel heavy. The formula is light weight and doesn’t make you feel as if you’re wearing foundation. It gets into fines lines and pores and gives a decent airbrush sought of finish, doesn’t accentuate the wrinkles like some of the foundations may do, this is due to its fine formula that seeps in the lines seamlessly to give a great finish.

At first I find that this Nµde Magic Foundation has a greasy feel to it but after wearing it, the feeling wasn’t there. It gives almost matte finish.

I have worn this foundation for around 8 hours, it was there as these days, we aren’t sweating unlike summers, I can’t say how long it will stay in summers but it is waterproof only to certain extent. It would transfer to clothes slightly therefore care has to be taken while using a tissue or wiping our face in the middle of the day. On an average, its staying span is decent and won’t let you down.

Pros and cons of L’Oreal Paris Nµde Magic Foundation

Pros

In spite of the lack of pump, I liked the packaging

Blends really nicely and effortlessly

Gives an airbrush finish

Decent staying power

Gives to sheer to medium coverage

Doesn’t feel heavy even if layered again for more coverage

No allergies or breakouts with this so far.

Good for daily wear

Affordable

Powdery satiny texture which feel light

SPF 18

Doesn’t clog the pores

Good for oily to combination skin as well (mine is combination)

Cons

It gives medium coverage so don’t expect heavy coverage out of it.

Pump would have been better, that would have made the usage hygiene and would have given extra control over how much to take out considering the runny consistency.

Isn’t completely sweat or waterproof

Rating: 4 out of 5

Take: L’Oreal Paris Nµde Magic Foundation is an excellent foundation at the price. This foundation can be used daily without looking cakey as it’s easy to blend, it’s powdery satiny texture makes the blending work very quick when in rush. It is suitable for oily to combination skin and doesn’t clog pores with a decent staying power. The Nµde magic foundations are available in 6 shades in India and I think the shades will go really well with most of the Indian skin tones including the duskier complexion. It gives a sheer to medium coverage therefore if you need heavy coverage foundations you may skip this but I will still recommend to try this range.
