Lakme Absolute Color Illusion Nail Paint Fantasy Review

Lakme Absolute Color Illusion Nail Paint Fantasy

Hello people!!
I’m back!! I told you in the last post that I will review a nail paint for you so here it is. I have observed that you girls like nail paints and lip products related post more than any other.  I will swatch a nail paint for you from Lakme Absolute Color illusion range. This is a limited edition range and has got four colors, out of which I have two. I thought of going with fantasy first. All the shades have this metallic sheen to them.

Brand Claims “Lakme Absolute Color Illusion Nail Polish is ideal for both day and evening wear. They don’t chip off easily. This Colour Illusion Nail Polish available in four unique bold metallic shades.
Price: 200 INR per bottle that contains 10 ml. Buy these at Flipkart Here
Let’s start with the packaging first which is really attractive and beautiful, comes in a square bottle with an opaque black cap with LAKME written over it. Isn’t it gorgeous! It is amazing. Very pretty.

Fantasy is a pale pink or baby pink color with loads of gritty glitters scattered throughout. Brush is a slightly flattened and is of medium sized which is good as it helps coating the nails better than the fluffier brush. I have pretty broad nails so, I like even the bigger nail polish brushes but they can’t be for everyone. Here it reminds me of one of my friends’ little nails that can be coated with just a dot of color. haha yeah!! She is a nail biter. Then she would ask me zillions of times why her nails don’t grow even if she herself knew the answer Phew!! I knew that was just a revenge as I used to ask her the same number of time about how my hair looks. :D

At first, when I applied this nail paint, it looked gritty on the brush and in one coat it gave an unflattering single patchy and streaky coat, with second coat it got a bit better lesser streaky and more opaque and on third coat it looked decently finished. But honestly, I didn’t find the finish as pleasing. It was just okay.

Here I would say it is something to do with the color as well as lighter the color, patchier it will look, if the formula isn’t smooth. Apart from that it has a very strong smell though that will not be that strong on the nails. It’s just while using it you will have to bear it.
What impressed me was its staying power I had three coats on and it was as glossy and the way it was for 3-4 days after which I changed, but it was impressive as there was very less chipping.
Pros of Lakme Absolute Color illusion:
Packaging
Staying power

Cons of Lakme Absolute Color illusion:
Needs 3 coats of get opaque
Streaks and patchy

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Take: Lakme Absolute Color illusion in fantasy has a glossy metallic finish that looks good though it streaks and need at least 3 coats to get opaque. If you like this pale pink color then do try it but I think there are some other pretty shades out there that are waiting to be tried out!
