Clindamycin Phosphate Gel Uses and Review (Clindac A)

Review (Clindac A) Clindamycin Phosphate Gel
Hey everyone!

When the skin is on a bout of acne and you just need something that can cure and prevent it. I had been through this phase an year and half ago and even after that those occasional pimples have never fully left me alone! Every now and then they will pop up on the noticeable places you will never wish them to be. Now that when people say that I have clear skin. I have only two things to say, first, drinking a lot of water  (I know you have heard it zillions of times, but honestly this is what I give credit to) and secondly Clindamycin phosphate gel. This gel was actually prescribed to me by a dermatologist ages ago but once I recovered from acne, I forgot about that. It’s just that recently an year and half ago when I faced the same problem, I run for this again. Clindamycin phosphate gel is manufactured by a lot of different brands though I use Clindac A which is marketed by Galderma. This might be my fourth tube so far. It is priced at 105 Ruppes only for 15g.

Clindac-A 1% contains clindamycin phosphate as the active ingredient which is an antibiotic responsible for  killing the bacteria that causes skin infection. Apart from that, It also contains carbomer 941, methylparaben, polyethylene glycol 400, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, and purified water.  All this information is given on the pack itself. It can be a good solution for treating mild to moderate acne.

I have also used other prescribed skin creams for acne which used to peel the skin and their cream formula have never suit me. Whereas with this, I really like that it is a clear gel which has this aloe Vera gel kind of feel to it and will get evaporate/absorbed leaving behind nothing.

When I was fighting acne, this gel has helped clearing them out and results were seen within 5- 6 days. Since then I have relied on this. Now that I don’t have a lot of pimples on my face but still I use it to fight the occasional pimples that it can clear out within 3-4 days. I will make sure that once in a week, before going to bed, I will use it on my entire face where pimples are more likely to be formed.

I find this better than the pimple clearing gels like the ones from VLCC, Garnier etc. I have used them all and they were far more expensive than this.  Literally as of now, I really can’t do without this. I can’t help acne eruption. I can only combat then with this Clindamycin Phosphate gel.

Please note that, I have said what I do and as a lot of you have asked for it, but please it’s a prescribed medicine, therefore, I will STRONGLY recommend that you to go through the instructions and the indications that comes along with this even if it can be well tolerated!

I would suggest you to use this if you have mild to moderate acne but for severe acne and infections, I would recommend, seeking dermatologist’s help and advice.

I hope you find this post helpful!

  2. Sounds great! I too have been using Benzyl Peroxide gel that's water based from the same brand and it helps to dry up blemishes over night and super quickly without over drying the skin around! I totally will be checking this out!
