I was about to say happy weekend but then realized it will be passed in the next couple of hours. So, Let’s keep it for the next week then. I will review Avon Glimmerstick Eyeliner in this post. Glimmerstick range has been quite a popular makeup product from Avon and starting from this April, Avon has introduced some new intense colors in the Glimmerstick range as Boldest black, Purple Punch, Cobalt Cool, Turquoise burst. Out of all, I will review Purple punch. Purple has always been an enticing color to use on the eyelids due to its vibrant hue.

I have liked retractable packaging when it comes to pencil products like lipliners, eyeliners, kohls etc. Avon Glimmerstick comes in a retractable form too which makes it easy to use.

Just twist up and use except for the fact that when eyeliners are made in this sought of twist up lid style, creating a sharp wing at the edge can be a tad difficult. That can be tackled with taking an angled brush and lightly running it over the liner to create a preciser wing. Well, this is what I do, so hopefully this small trick will help you too. Try it the next time.

Despite the blunt end part, I like eyeliners in retractable packging. Moving on.

The color Purple Punch is a vibrant purple with slight blue hues that does take away some of the purpleness from this color and makes it something in between purple and blue. As the name goes glimmerstick, they are not matte but bear silver fine shimmers that add more dimensions to the color, therefore rather than sitting flatly on the eyelids, it just shines through, giving that extra attention your eyes need.  Purple punch will show on almost all the skin types, even the duskier ones!

Pigmentation is okay. Swiping just once will not be enough, it will require at least 2-3 swipes to reveal the true color and also the texture due to shimmer isn’t that smooth so that way too, multiple swipes will be required so that, the final result is non patchy, even and intense looking color! It takes 15-20 seconds to set and after that I noticed it will get smudgefree and waterproof which are the most important aspects of any eyeliner, since you don’t want eyeliner smudging all around and throughout the day!

By the way, I will not miss the chance to praise the mascara in the pictures which happens to be from Avon only called Avon Super extreme extend. I wore this eyeliner the other day and it stayed through out the day and my day that day was for around 6-7 hours. It was there with slight signs of fading. It will not come off with water as I said but can be easily taken off with a Bi phased makeup remover.

Take: Avon Glimmerstick Eyeliner is a decent product that comes with an okay pigmentation and smudge free formula. You may try it if you like the color or any other color out of the lot. It may lacks in pigmentation that can be taken care of by extra swiping though smudge free formula makes up for that.
