Oriflame Perfecting Face Primer review and swatches

Hi Everyone!!
In today's post, I will review Oriflame Perfecting Face Primer. I still remember I had used this primer a couple of years ago and then it had a very different formula which was a bit sticky and something due which I have not used that after 2-3 times and gave it away and then I again stumbled over it and bought it thinking I should give it a try and should review for you guys as well.

Price- 429 rupees for 30 ml

Experience- Earlier this product used to come in tube with nozzle at the mouth of the tube while this new packaging is just like the Oriflame studio artist foundation, a regular tube pack.

This is not a silicone based primer, the primer is white liquidy and has a lotion like consistency that smells okay. For the entire face a big drop would be fine. Dot your face with this primer and then blend like you do with the other face product. It blends really well and easily leaving  sheen on the skin and skin feels softer and smoother. So, till now, it has acted like a moisturizer, isn't too greasy but quite hydrating. It doesn't fill the fine lines and pores to a major extent but slight improvement is visible on the skin though. Like a primer should behave, it does makes the foundation glide a bit easily on the skin and very fine lines were filled in due to which skin appears smoother.
But As I said, don't expect it to go extremely helpful with the bigger pores and lines.

Apart from that a face primer's primary purpose is to make your makeup stay and last longer as compared to when you don't use anything. I think it fared decently on that. It helped my foundation stay in place for a couple of hours more than when I was not wearing any primer underneath the foundation. Though there were places that very oily so, there it has not done any wonders the way my Nyx photo loving primer does.
Reason being Nyx is a silicone based primer and such primers fares far more better for oily skin than non silicones ones. Silicones ones actually helps skin stay matte for a longer time. If you are really interested in silicone based then Colorbar Perfect match foundation is also and affordable and easily available option for you.
Coming back to this Oriflame Perfecting Face Primer, as it has creamy, lotion kind of formula, it doesn't worsens the dry patches on your skin, due to which I will recommend it to normal to dry skinned people. If you have dry skin then you may try a moisturizer and then go ahead with this primer. Therefore, this may not be the best option if you have oily skin and that too in the summer season. Combination skinned people may try it in winter though.

Overall, I can say that it is a decent primer, if you look at the price for dry to normal skinned people.

Adds a nice sheen to the skin
Does not dry out the skin
Suitable for normal to dry skin
Non- comedogenic
Combination skinned may try it during cooler season
Helps makeup lasts a bit longer though not the whole day

Cons of Oriflame Perfecting Face Primer

Can be greasy for oily skin
May not make makeup last the entire day
Doesn't work on large pores and lines

Rating- 3.5 out of 5

Take- Oriflame Perfecting Face Primer is a decent primer for this price but do not expect much from this. It does makes makeup last a bit longer and your foundation to glide a bit better though it will not be as suitable for oily skin the way it can be suitable for dry to normal skin. You can try if it's going to be your first brush up with primers.
