Pierre Cardin Paris Lipstick Red Affair Review, swatches and LOTDs
Guest Post by Tejinder Kaur
I will review a lipstick for you which is a beautiful red color and it’s from the brand Pierre Cardin Paris called Red Affair.
I like it for its very pretty red colour with orange undertone! I got this one while sorting my stack of lipsticks last week. As this one wasn’t reviewed yet so thought will do this one now. Perfect tone for summer and will look good on all skin tones.
Although the weather in UK hasn’t been very good and doesn’t feels like summer! I Love bright shades a lot so this one become amongst one of my favorites too. The consistency is very nice and the smell really pleasant. I love the feel of the lipstick; doesn’t dry your lips. Not very easy to ascertain the exact shade of the lipstick as varies from red to orange depending upon light conditions.
Texture: It has a soft, smooth and creamy texture that glides easily on lips without tugging and gives nice sheen to the pout. Does not bleed at all, in fact makes my lips look really healthy and fuller.
Pigmentation: One wipe builds up the colour and offers full coverage .The Pigmentation is great and gives sheerer look to your lips.
Staying Power: It stays quite longer at least 4-5 hours. Even though it transfers easily, somehow it never vanishes from the lips and leaves an orangey red tint after fading which still looks elegant.
Packaging: I love the packaging which looks very sexy and gorgeous. While it is travel friendly and sturdy, my lipstick cap became slightly loose after a couple of uses; therefore need careful while keeping in purse. Pierre Cardin Paris is embossed in silver on the black case while the inner side is totally silver with the Pierre Cardin flower logo. The black plastic colour cap contains silver bullet where number and name is written. Not easy to identify the colour from outside, need to open the lid to do so which can be time consuming if you have many.
Cool, sturdy packaging
No shimmer but sheerer
Does not dry out lips
No patchiness or unevenness when applied as glides smoothly on lips
Shade name is misleading
Need to remove with makeup remover wipes
Rating: 4.25 out of 5
My Take: Pretty, bright orangey red shade which would suit all skin tones. It brings out subtle sheen on the lips, brightens up the face and stays longer. Slight problem that I have no information on the price as it was a gift. My attempts at researching the price were futile as Pierre Cardin has changed the packaging now, it comes in round shape rather than square.
