VLCC 3 Day Acne
Corrector Review
Hello
everyone,
Happy
New Year to all of you once again.
It’s
been like 2-3 days since I have not done any product review. It was a really
busy week but now I am back to business. Most of us do suffer from occasional
pimples if not with the severe acne. I do struggle with pimples that erupt every now
and then. Most of the times they will just pop out on days you want your skin
to look clear (you know what I mean .:D). Getting rid of them is always like a
struggle.
We try different acne treatment products to vanish them quickly and then
our search goes on and on. Recently,
I came across this product called VLCC 3 day acne corrector. Prior to that I was
using Garnier Pimple pen which got over so I tried this VLCC acne care.
Price- 79 INR. Quantity- 9 ml
Company says- Enriched with
clove known for its anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties that purify
and cleanse skin from within to prevent outbreak and recurrence of pimples.
Menthol has deodorizing properties which revitalize the skin.
Additionally,
this contains Salicylic Acid, which accelerates pimples drying out.
Anti-bacterial properties of Salicylic Acid clear acne by controlling excess
oil secretion thereby preventing occurrence of acne. This invisible gel
corrector attacks pimples, blemishes and keeps skin clear and refreshed. It has
drying effect on pimples and delivers visible results in just 3 days.
Convenient tip makes application easy.

My
Experience- I wanted something that can clear the occasional pimples quickly
or else it takes like 4-5 days on an average to get rid of them. I bought this
when I had a really big pimple on the cheek. It is a clear gel formula that
comes in an elongated nozzle like front so as to dab the gel on the pimple or
the targeted area. It says that it has clove, menthol and salicylic acid so, when
I applied it for I could actually feel the tingling or burning sensation which
remains for a longer time. I does dry out the pimple but one the first day
after applying two three times unlike the claim that it dries from the first
application. It cleared the first pimple in 5 days and a little mark was also
there which I think would have been cleared even if I did not do anything. It
dries out the area and the hence the skin around the targeted area starts
peeling due to its effects.

When you apply it it feels sticky for a very long
time and my hair strands keep on sticking to it. I hate such products since I have
my hair cut in layers so it annoys me a lot. Moreover, this product was sealed pack but still it has a crack underneath the nozzle, you can see in the pictures how the gel is oozing out from there. where is the quality check.???
Overall, I am not satisfied with this pimple treatment product.

My
Take- I am not satisfied with it as I have used Clindamycin gel (prescibed)
which was around the same price and worked better than this without peeling or
stinging. I will not recommend it.
Hi Neisha Hope you are enjoying Happy new year....
ReplyDeleteNice Review... It's so sad that this won't work :(
Thank you dear.. yeah it did not live up to its claim. :)
DeleteI suddenly got three pimples on my face the day before and was actually thinking about a pimple correction pen today and your review came the same time :) Very helpful review.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gagan .:)
Deletebut this one does not work, may be you can try the clindamycin gel.
Yes, I am making a note of that gel and will check at local chemist shop. I used to think VLCC products generally work. If i had not read this review, I would have preferred this over other similar products. So thanks :)
DeleteNahi Gagan, most of them dont ..

ReplyDeleteThank you Neha..:)
Deleteactually they do not work at all.
hi niesha....i had the pimple control pen from garnier but it left really bad acne scars on my face...and this one seems a dud too....i guess prescribed medications work best on acne...
ReplyDeletesame here Prayati.. even i tried the garbier one which was okay types but now i am going to buy my prescribed one soon.
DeleteA great review Niesha....Even I have been on the hunt of a pimple control gel or cream but nothing seems to have worked lately :(
ReplyDeleteI agree Richa, these stuffs are useless.. I think prescribed ones are far more better in reducing the inflammation and infection.
DeleteAw that sucked that it made your skin peel and sting! Whenever I have spots now I use a bit of water based benzyl peroxide, makes it dry up so quickly and then gone!
ReplyDeleteTrue, Benzoyl peroxide does work.
DeleteThat's sad :(. I hate it when such things happen :(
ReplyDeleteSame here Neha.. they do not live up to their claims. :(
