Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner Review Choco pop

Maybelline Color sensational Lip liner in Choco Pop
Hello Everyone, Hope you are good and not facing Monday Blues…:D
Today, I will review Maybelline Colorsensational Lip liner in choco pop. Lip liner are an effective and simple way to not only shape your lips but also prevent the lipsticks from bleeding especially when you want to wear the glamorous and gorgeous red or deep lip colors, which are more prone to bleed.

Lip liner in Choco Pop

Product Details-Keep your lip color looking beautiful with coordinated lip liners that won’t smudge, smear or bleed.
How to Use-Line your lips starting in center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Follow the same technique for your bottom lip. To extend the wear of your favorite lipstick or lip gloss, first fill in your lips completely with lip liner.

Maybelline Lip liner in Choco Pop

Experience- I am not a lip liner person and same goes with the lip glosses as well, but as I am loving dark and deep shades a lot these days so I thought trying this lip liner would be a good idea. I love Maybelline lip shades especially the moisture extreme range. I got this Maybelline lip liner in Choco pop which appears rusty brown to me with very subtle shine. Definitely it’s not a matte lip liner. It is averagely pigmented and to get the color you have to swipe 2-3 times. I wish it could have been a little more pigmented.
What I like is its color which will suit everyone, I mean most of the neutral lipstick shades. I also wanted to try Maybelline lip liner in Hollywood Red but now I think I will try the Nyx one. I could not find the ingredients anywhere on the pencil..
It is water proof to some extent but not at all smudge proof. Here in this swatch you can see that it took 2-3 swipes to get this color and when i rub it smudges. (sorry.. forgot to click that pic)

Overall, it is a decent lip liner which does its job, but I may not purchase other shades since I like to try different brands unless I find a product so amazing that tempts me to try some other shades from their range which actually happened with the Faces Canada eye liner pencils. I loved them so much that I bought four and the recent one is in Purple, beautiful color it is.. will review soon!!
I did not do the lip swatches since it was not showing through much..
Alright, let’s sum up the pros and the cons.
Pros
  • Availability
  • Affordable
  • Controls bleeding
  • Lid does not break while sharpening (sharped once)
  • Pretty color that will go with most of the neutral shades
  • Water proof to some extent
Cons
  • Ingredients. ??
  • Could have been more pigmented
  • Smudges and transfers when touched (not a big problem though)
Rating- 3 out of 5
My take- Decent Lip liner at a decent price.  Try it if you want or else try some other brands at the similar price.

  8. I have the same one Niesha and I have a wine shade from their waterproof range. When I used the Maybelline waterproof one continuously for a couple of weeks, the outline of my otherwise pink lips turned dark brown. After that I never used that one or this one either. Maybelline should provide ingredient list.
