Nivea Aqua Effect Skin Refining Scrub Review

Nivea Aqua Effect Skin Refining Scrub Review
Hello all,
Do you like facial scrubs?? Well I do due to my oily combination skin. Facisl scrubs are like one of the most important products after cleanser.. at least for me! .:D
Therefore, I am back with another facial scrub for you. I will review Nivea aqua effect skin refining scrub. It's one of the product from their newly launched collection!
So, if you love scrubs, then keep on reading!
Price- 99 INR for 50 ml
Shelf Life- 30 months from manufacturing date.

Ingredients- All the ingredients are mentioned on the pack itself. Sorry I missed that picture!!
My experience-This facial scrub hails from Nivea's newly launced products as is named as Nivea Skin refining scrub with the claims to give the optimal freshness and maintains skin balance while removing the dead skin cells.
It comes in a tube packaging which I really like (well most of us) when it comes to certain products. Tubes are the most preferred packaging after pumps I suppose.

This product has some blue colored micro-beads scattered everywhere and salt like crystals in a face wash kinds base which makes its texture a little rough, beady and slippery so that it can glide smoothly while you scrub.
I have seen these so called micro beads in some face cleansers like the Lotus jojoba one and several others but I then I realized that they will just not burst on the skin as the texture of the product is too slippery that when you apply pressure they will simply escape but thats not the case with this skin refining scrub as due to the crystals presents, there is no room left for them to escape and poor beads are left with only one choice.. to burst!!!..:D
Now the question is what they does, this has not been mentioned anywhere, may be they clean the skin or provide moisture. I have no idea.. They were just assumptions!!
Have a look at texture of this scrub below.. it appears good.. isn't it!!

It is meant to be used on wet face, the same way you use scrubs. It lathers little while rinsing and does not make sky dry... sky dry.. nooo.. skin dry !!! :P (typos)
Before this I was using VLCC rose scrub which was a decent and gentle exfoliator and this scrub somehow reminds me of that.
I had a nice exfoliation with this and currently, I am using this and not to forget the Nivea Total face clean up. I have become a fan of that product.

Overall, it is a decent product and I am happy with it as of now and good for easy at home exfoliation.
I think It should work fine for dry skin as well but if you have used it please let me know how it works for the dry skin.
Let's sum up the pros and cons.
Pros
  • Packaging is good and travel friendly.
  • Easily available.
  • Price is decent for the quantity given.
  • It does lathers a bit which also helps in cleaning the skin.
  • Gently scrubs the skin without making it dry so even dry skin people can use it.
  • It also removes the excess oil while cleaning and exfoliating.
  • I think it can be used by the dry skinned people as well as it really does provide moisture.
Cons
  • The particles, what actually they do??, though not a big issue but still.
Rating- 4.5 out of 5

My take – I would call it a decent product at a decent price and very gentle for the skin but still does exfoliates properly. It is for all skin types though it says normal here and not to forget its good smell. Try it if you are looking for a good scrub, you won't be disappointed!!

**PR sample though review honest as always.
