Lakme Glide on Eye Color Aqua Green Review

Hello all!!

Ready to meet an eye pencil that can give you a gorgeous color!!
Yes, meet this Lakme glide on eye pencil in Aqua green, that can be a must have pencil in the vanities of colored eye pencil lovers.
I think, these days, pencils and gel eyeliners have taken over our good old liquid eyeliner. Isn't it??
No that you know, In this post I will do a review and swatches on Lakme glide on eye pencil or eye color in Aqua green, which is the latest addition in my teal and emerald colored eye products.

My Experience- Blame it on my love for green, teal and emerald shades which made me buy this pencil in Aqua green color instead of some other color.
By the name itself, you can judge, it would be a color between green and blue but neither teal nor emerald. It is not a matte shade but has subtle shimmer which gives it a metallic finish.
It’s a regular eye liner pencil which you have to sharpen which indirectly means a lot of product wastage while sharpening as with the blunt end, you can't do anything except to shade the lid, using this as a base color for eye makeup!
Lid is strong enough not to break while sharpening. The images that you are looking at are taken when it was brand new.
It has a shelf life of good 30 months, anyways if you are using it a lot then it won't even survive till the expiry comes!

When I swatched it, I could feel that it's very creamy and justifies it's name as it does glide smoothly due to which there was no tugging or pulling. Once, it set, it becomes smudgeproof just like our loyal Faces eye pencils. For those of us who have this habit of touching their eyes,(shhh.. I am the one) may relax as it will not make us look like a teal green eyed monster.:)
Though the color may fade but still it will be there.
You can get the same color in one stroke which can be further intensified by swiping again. Their texture is very similar to that of Faces Canada eye pencils.
To remove this completely from your eye lids, you will need an eye makeup remover.
Now, what else do we need at the price!!
You may check the color on the eye swatches:

  • Easily available online and in shops and Lakme counters.
  • Price is reasonable for the quantity and quality.
  • Pigmentation is really good and it gives intense color in a single swipe.
  • Texture and formula makes it glide smoothly on the lids without tugging or pulling.
  • It is water proof and smudge proof against accidental rubbing.
  • Pretty good staying power. It stayed on my lids for 6-7 hours.
  • It fades though does not smudge much.
  • can be easily removed with an eye makeup remover.
  • Beautiful bright color for color liner fans. the color itself is gorgeous enough to make your eyes appealing.
  • End gets blunt soon and while sharpening a lot of product is wasted.
  • Ingredients are not mentioned anywhere on the packaging.
  • Sharpening every time you use is like a pain at least for me.
Rating- 3.75out of 5
My take- I will recommend it, if you are very much into eye pencil liners. It's price and quality makes it worth trying product. If not this shade then other shades may be tried, hopefully they will not be infected with quality inconsistencies with in the same range.
