Maybelline Makeup Remover for eyes and lips Review

Hi Everyone,
In this article I will share my review on Maybelline makeup remover. This is my first makeup remover and bought it from the Maybelline store. It comes in a transparent bottle and you will see two separate layers of transparent and blue liquid.
Maybelline Makeup Remover

Price: Rs.215 you may get it online HERE
Quantity: 70 ml
Shelf life: 3.3 years
What the company claims: This formula instantly removes all eye and lip makeup, even waterproof and non-transfer. Formulated for gentle eyes, it is especially very gentle for the delicate skin around eyes.
Ingredients: Water, cyclopentasiloxane, islohexadecane, isopropyl palmitate, panthenol, poloxamer 184, dipotassium phosphate, green 6, sodium chloride.

Directions of use: Shake well before use. Soak a cotton pad with the lotion and apply on your eyes or lips. Follow facial cleansing with Maybelline Foam or Cleansing Milk.

My Experience: I have been using this remover for over a month now and I am really happy with the work it does to remove the eye and lip makeup. As I mentioned earlier that there are two separate layers in the remover so every time before using I have to shake the bottle which sometimes bothers me. After resting it on shelf the blue liquid settles quickly on the top of the white/transparent liquid so if you have to use the remover again in a minute then shake it baby! hehe

Let’s move on the cleaning front…2-3 swipes are enough to remove the waterproof eye makeup and any staining of the lipsticks. I do not have to rub it harshly but just gently. But for waterproof mascara you might have to put some extra effort so I let the cotton ball stay on the lids for few seconds and then swipe it 3-4 times to clear all the traces of it.

After cleaning the makeup, it leaves the eye region and lips oily. Instead of washing my face I clean the oil remains with a dry cotton ball and it makes the eyes and lips moisturized and soft. You can also let the oil stay on your eyes if you want as I did not notice any side effects after doing so once. The quantity required on the cotton ball for removing the makeup is also less you literally do not have to dip it with the remover to see the cleaning effects.

Pros:
  • Efficiently removes eye and lip makeup
  • Odor less
  • After cleaning leaves the eyes and lips soft
  • Does not leak if the bottle is laid flat
  • Just a sufficient amount of it does the cleaning job well.
Cons:
  • Nothing other than shaking, shaking and shaking
My Rating: 5 out of 5
My Take: I have not used any other makeup remover so far so can not compare with others but yes it sticks to what the company claims. I will recommend it to the readers and will definitely purchase it again.

  9. I used to have this like 5 years back, didn't quite like it. Especially since it didn't really do much to remove mascara. I prefer Japanese made makeup remover for eye makeup:)
