Benefits of Aloe Vera-

  • Rejuvenates: Use it regularly to make the skin supple and improve the skin texture.
  • Soothes: Helps cure sunburns and rashes of the skin. It reduces roughness and amount of peeling of the skin, and gives a cooling and soothing effect.
  • Heals: Regenerates new tissues as it promotes healthy cell division. It relieves irritation in case of minor cuts, wounds and burns and moisturizes the skin without cutting off the oxygen (unlike oily ointments) which accelerates the healing process.
  • Clears: In case of acne, not only reduces the inflammation, but also takes care that no damage is caused. It prevents scarring and blemishes by minimizing scar tissue formation. Being a gel, it does not clog the pores of the skin (unlike oily ointments).
  • Nourishes: Nourishes the skin with vital ingredients like natural proteins, minerals, Vitamins E & C which are essential for maintaining the integrity of the skin.

Brihans Green Leaf Aloe Vera Gel Review
My experience- We all are aware about the healing and soothing properties of aloevera gel. I got it for the same since my skin was behaving badly at a certain time for which i needed something that can soothe my oh so oily skin
This gel is a bit slippery in texture and when you apply it i feels sticky but then as you proceed further and massage it gently then, the stickiness is gone, it gets absorbed, skin feels silky but apart from that it did not show any noticeable results at all which made me stop using it.
Later on, I read some where that it can be used with your foundation to make foundation glides and blends in well. Therefore, I tried it and must mention that it actually worked that way. I think it can be used better that way rather than apply only this one on face.

Since i do not need much coverage, using this made blending easy and a little product was required.
It is cheap and easily available online. List of ingredients is shown but i think something is still missing.

Rating- 3 out of 5 (I want to try some other brand as I am not convinced with the ingredients given)

  12. You should try growing aloe vera. It's easy to grow. We started with one plant now have about 5. You can cut a leaf off and get the fresh gel from inside.

  13. Hey Niesha, I have many Aloe Vera plants in my garden for many years now. It doesn't have thorns, just the leaf edges have 'thorn-like' structure. There cannot be a more beneficial plant to have at home. My face got burnt with bleach reaction in April and I used the fresh gel a few times. It really helped kill the boils immediately. The fresh gel has some smell which fades off in a few minutes, but leaves my dry skin a little stretched, once absorbed. Wow, I could never think of mixing this in foundation. Could you please share the ingredient list for this one? I am curious :)

  14. And I forgot to add, there is no maintenance for the plant. You just need to water it once in a few days :)
