Colorbar Eye Shadow in Spicy Brown review and swatches

Hi Everyone,
I will share Colorbar Eye Shadow in Spicy Brown review today and I need not to repeat how much I love eye products. I recently ordered this Colorbar eye shadow in spicy brown from Myntra.com. I have been eying colorbar eyeshadow for quite a long time but I used to forget everytime I would order online or checking out their stuff at their counter.

Price-  300 INR
Quantity-  3  gm

Packaging- Regular flip top packaging with the pan inside and the lower compartment has a dual ended curved sponge applicator.
Company claims- Colorbar Eye Shadow is a pigmented powder that gives the eyes a shine and pearl-like effect. Ultra fine in texture, it is easy to blend while its moisturizing agent keeps your eyelids soft and smooth. This product is long lasting and fade resistant.
Ingredients- Listed on the pack in the image below.

My experience- This is a satiny and shimmery eye shadow that justifies its name ‘spicy brown’. I have this similar color in the MUA eyeshadow palette in heaven and earth as well. I quite like its texture and it is easily blendable.
It’s a tiny little pot which has two compartments, the top one has the eye shadow pan and the lower one has a mirror and little space to accommodate a tiny curved dual ended sponge applicator which did not impress me much as it makes the application a bit tricky or I should say difficult. It is useless and till date i have not even taken it out of the compartment.

The actual color is a bit darker.

The actually product is really good. I loved the dark brown shimmery color, which is a gorgeous to look at and I must say that it has a more than average staying power even without the primer. Application is smooth and it does not look patchy. It says that it has a pearl like effect and ultra fine texture which is true. I like to apply it on the lids with my fingers first while doing an eye makeup then blend it nicely with the help of a brush.

This particular color is great for all the occasions especially the night time ones.
You can either apply this alone or use some dark shade in the outer V , line your eyes and put loads of mascara and you will have an amazing eyelook.
I bought it along with the Copper Crush from colorbar.

Pros
  • It easily available and piece is quite reasonable.
  • Packaging is cute and looks good.
  • It has a nice pearl like or satiny texture which is lovely.
  • It has a more than average staying power even without the primer.
  • This particular color will look great during a night time occasion and can also be used during the day time without looking too over the top.
  • Quantity is reasonable as compared to the price.
  • It is easily blend able and does not look patchy.
Cons
  • Apart from that uniquely designed sponge applicator (which is not user friendly)
I do not find any cons in this product.
My take- It is an excellent product and a gorgeous color. It’s a must have product if you are a fan of brown eye shadows.

Rating- 4.5 out of 5 (Highly Recommend !!)
